Graduation Award Nominations are now available and are due Friday February 17th at Noon in the ESS office (ENE 132).

The following awards will be presented at the Grad Banquet on March 24th.
• Student of the Year
• Donna Geekie
• Golden Geer
• Teaching Excellence Awards (one from each department)

Nomination forms can be printed here or you can pick up forms in the ESS office.

Student of the Year
The Student of the Year award is given to a student in their final year, who exemplifies engineering at the Schulich School of Engineering over the past academic year. This award is based 30% on academic achievement, 30% on extracurricular activities, 30% on community service, and 10% on sporting activities.

Donna Geekie
The Donna Geekie Leadership Award is given to the person who exemplifies leadership within the Engineering community. It is not limited to those involved with the Engineering Students’ Society. The recipient will be dedicated to the Schulich School of Engineering, experienced at the Schulich School of Engineering and involved within the engineering community at the Schulich School of Engineering.

Golden Geer
The Golden Geer Award goes to the person that most embodies the spirit of Engineering.

Teaching Excellence Awards
The Engineering Students’ Society Graduation Dinner Teaching Excellence Awards shall be awarded annually to faculty members or session instructors (one for each of the 5 departments) of the Schulich School of Engineering who have demonstrated excellence, enthusiasm, and personality in teaching undergraduate engineering students throughout the students’ academic years.

Come to SPEED GEEKING – a fun evening of lively mentoring where Schulich School of Engineering students are paired with alumni and industry professionals using a ‘speed dating’ format.

Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 5:30-8:00pm, EEEL lobby.
This event is FREE, and includes time to mingle while enjoying appetizers and a cash bar.
